Watercolour Workshop

A study of Banksia

In this workshop we will explore watercolour painting in A study of Banksia.

The Banksia is such an interesting plant with textured seed pods and beautiful leaves so is the perfect subject for a painting. In this workshop we will be focused on the seed pods from this amazing plant but the skills you learn can be transferred to help you create any part if the Banksia in future paintings.

This is a great workshop for anyone regardless of experience as we will cover the basics of watercolour as well as the creation of the shapes that make up the final image.

Over 3 hours we will play with the materials and produce a beautiful image using the magical medium of watercolour paint.

This is a small group workshop with a max of 8 participants so you are assured of lots of help and support through the process.

The workshop will explore the following-

  • Watercolour paints- types and techniques

  • Papers
