Arthouse Industries is open at The Old Cheese Factory in Frederickton from September 2026.

Founded in 2010 by local artist and passionate educator Skye Petho, Arthouse Industries was created with a simple but powerful vision: to connect community with creativity and for over a decade called Port Macquarie home before moving the business to Frederickton on the Mid North Coast in September 2026 where it is now open at the Old Cheese Factory.

Over the years, Arthouse has evolved through many exciting chapters, from gallery space to retail store to creative accommodation. Now, with the move to The Old Cheese Factory, Arthouse Industries returns to its original model: a retail space, gallery and working studio all in one, where you can browse, shop and watch artisans at work in painting, ceramics, glass and more. Through it all, its heart has remained the same. At its core, Arthouse Industries exists to make creativity accessible, fun and affordable for everyone.

With more than 30 years of teaching experience across TAFE, not-for-profit organisations, large corporations and private businesses, Skye has worked with people from all walks of life. Yet it’s the magic of small group creative experiences that continues to inspire her most , the genuine connection, the shared laughter, the spark of confidence when someone realises they can create.

Arthouse Industries specialises in inclusive and sustainable creative workshops where every experience is thoughtfully designed to be welcoming, supportive and engaging. Whether you’re a seasoned creative or picking up a paintbrush for the first time. Skye brings together her extensive artistic skills, teaching expertise and deep belief in community to create workshops that are not just activities, but meaningful shared experiences.

Arthouse Industries is filled with handmade, unique products and artwork, many created by Skye herself or sourced from local and Australian creators and makers.

Arthouse believes that when human hands create a product it is cherished and valuable because of this connection to the maker.

Experience

Each day you will find Skye working at one of her stations painting, playing with clay, glass or mixed media. Arthouse is an opportunity for her to create in all her mediums and she is always happy to chat to you about what she is creating.
